He is survived by: his father Gilbert Gardner (Indian Bench); his wife Marie Sixkiller of Vernal; his children, Cheryl Gardner (A. Ironhorse Ridley) of Ft. Duchesne, Brandy Gardner (Jason Manheimer) of Ft. Duchesne, Darla Garcia (Jason) of Ft. Duchesne, Allen Gardner and Rebecca Gardner; his stepchildren, Carlin Ignacio of Ft. Duchesne and Tara Ignacio (Arden Post II) of Ft. Duchesne; and also, June Gardner, Dalene Copperfield (Lloyd Miller), Mary Miller, Leanna Mae Copperfield, Trina, Rena, Kelly, Nathan, Rayma, Melvin, Michelle Redcap, Ardonna Haman, Twila, Lisa, Junior and Adam Gardner. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren.
