She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Irene Stroup (Smith) and William Roy Stroup; and her sister Julie Renee Whorton (Stroup). She is survived by: her husband Charles Melancon of Vernal; her siblings, Buck Stroup (Mary) of Tahlequah and Robin Hamby (Lance) of Tahlequah; her nieces and nephews, Jeremy Wayne Stroup, Dana Lee Whorton, Aaron Hamby, Alan Hamby, Hayden Hamby, Christie Renee Whorton, Shana Whorton, Ashley Stroup, Carrie Stroup and Whitney Stroup; her stepchildren, Don Melancon, Bill Melancon (Kim), Susan Melancon, Jeffrey Melancon (Caren) and Russ Melancon; and her cousin Phyllis Faye of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.. She is also survived by five great-nieces and great-nephews.
