He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren I. Shepherd and Joyce Adele Thurgood; his son Jacob; his sister-in-law Cindy Shepherd; his nephew Joshua Shepherd; and his niece Lori Mahana.
He is survived by: his former wife Christine Lupcho; his sons, Joshua Shepherd (Mesha) and Trey Shepherd; his grandchildren, Jayden and Jaxton Shepherd; and his siblings, Linda Mahana (Gene), Clark Shepherd, Kathie Hill (Dean), Sandra Neil, Cheryl Boone (Jacob), Dallin Ekins (Kimberly) and Maryann Spring Leduc. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
