He was predeceased by: his parent Deloy; his siblings, Janna, Jeanene, Robert, Beverly and Betty; his sons, Richard and Patrick Black; his granddaughter Audrey Black; and his wife Nona Gamble Black.
He is survived by: his children, Kristine Walke Black (Richard Jr), Janna Eskelsen (Dan), Edward Black (Laura), Alan Black (Karen), Michael Black, Trisha Larsen (Sean) and John Black (Marcie). He is also survived by grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
