She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna McFayden Nicholson and Clarence; her husband Philip Gaastra; and her sister Ruth Ellen Martin. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori VanderWeit and Julie Canann (Brian); and her stepchildren, Karen McIntosh (Paul) and Philip R Gaastra (Gina Cerquettini).
