He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Gould Higham Sr. and Leona Mae Bess Higham; and his wife Barbara Ann Craig Higham. He was also cherished by his three children, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and extended family.
