He was predeceased by: his father Charles Linzy Robbins; his daughter Karen Afton Robbins; his parent Vella Collett Robbins Jackman; and his stepfather Burlin Graham Jackman. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean York; his children, Duane Alan Robbins (Kami) and Barbara Jean Madsen (Chad); and his siblings, Patricia Robbins, Ruth Robbins, Priscilla Toone (Mel), Lenita Anderson (Scott) and George Jackman (Susan). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
