He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John J Verhaal and Audrey W Verhaal; his parent-in-law Shirley Hammon; his children, Terri Marberger (Steve), Mark Hammon, Jeff Hammon and James Hammon (Marti); his wife Shirley; and his grandson Jared Reaves. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
