He is survived by: his wife Lilia of Centerfield; his children, Jose Enrique Chavez Jr. of Cedar City and Crystal Chavez of Centerfield; and his siblings, Jorge Chavez of Centerfield, Trinidad Chavez of Centerfield, Maricela Gomez of Centerfield, Maria Magdalena Chavez of Dodge City, Kansas, Victor Chavez of Dodge City, Kansas and Rafael Chavez of Chichihualco.
