He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Payton and Alta Rosa Blackett Holt; his son-in-law Roger Thurgood; and his siblings, Ruth Carter, Ellen Coffey, Mary Leah Henry and Fred Holt.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bray; his children, Pauline Mead (Clyde), Dawna Holyoak (Steve), Kathleen Thurgood, Fred Holt (Meardey), Alan Holt (Janalynn) and Keith Holt; and his sisters, Lila Gold and Alta Marie Seamons. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren.
