He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Roy and Mary Thelma Powell Newman; and his siblings, Eudean Garrard, Lester Newman, Paul Newman and Carol Perelle.
He is survived by: his wife Carma Grant; his daughters, Charisse Decker (Bruce) and Karen Jorgensen (Steve); and his brother Blaine Newman. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
