He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lynn and Lois Annie Childs (Beck); and his grandson Tayson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Avery; his children, Barry Childs (Alice), Brad Childs (Lorrain), Casey Childs (Amanda), Christina McKenzie (Jonathan) and Alan Childs (Anahi); and his siblings, Grant Childs, Lynnette Loveland, Debi Spencer, Becky Kreis and Phyllis Leber. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
