With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lillian Dorothy Broom of Yorktown, Texas, born in Yancey, Texas, who passed away on December 30, 2021 at the age of 105. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Wiemers and Emma Neuman Wiemers; her husband Paul Broom; her daughter Janice Anderson; her son-in-law Paul Menn; and her siblings, Mildred Royal, Helen Helton, Mary Bremer, Stanley Wiemers, Arthur Wiemers and Howard Wiemers.
She is survived by: her daughter Paulette Menn; her son-in-law Max Anderson; her grandchildren, Stephen Anderson (Krista), Julie Carter (Chris), Sara Reger (Butch), Amy Burnes (Joe), Christi Clark (Sean) and Becky Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Brittney Heibel, Max Fitzsimmons, Conley Carter, Savannah Anderson, Katie Carter and Maddie Carter.
Lillian battled lung cancer for 7 years, and she recovered from Covid-19 in March 2021.
Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church of Yorktown and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
