He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Koenig and Avis Tedder Koenig; and his brother Marcus Koenig. He is survived by: his children, Mary Koenig of Yoakum, Dr. Karl Koenig (Lindsay) of Austin, Leslie Joe Koenig II (Bianca) of Cayucos and Nathan Koenig (Amy) of Yoakum; his grandchildren, Jake, Zach, Landon, Abby, Les, Lucas, Lila Rose, Hayes and Jack; and his sisters, Melba Bucek of Yoakum, Mary Ann Striedel (Anthony) of Yoakum and Theresa Kristek (Patrick) of Yoakum.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Leslie Joe Koenig Memorial Scholarship Fund.
