He was predeceased by: his parents, James Chester and Opal Marie Heard (Turner); and his brother Kenneth Wayne Heard. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Heard; his daughter Debra Gossett (Timothy); his sister Patricia Grayson; his grandchildren, Victoria Ann Hunt (Chad), Chad Cavett, Truitt Gossett (Michelle) and Taylor Rhodes (Dusty); and his great grandchildren, Calle Ann Hunt, J. L. Hunt and Knox Rhodes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
