She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Fayard and Edna Garcia Whitehead; her stepfather Willis Whitehead; and her siblings, Ralph Fayard, Robert Fayard and Virginia Olsen.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gary Fayard (Wanda) and Leathia Williams; her children, Wanda Harris and Paul Garriga Sr. (Monica); her grandchildren, Jeremy Harris (Leslie), Jody Harris, Jennifer Newsome (Trey), Amber Miller (Obie), Amanda Garriga (Jennifer), Amy Gilmore (Kelly) and Paul Garriga Jr. (Sloan); and her great grandchildren, Tyann, Kylee, Hadlee, Harley, Trey, Carl, Katie Ann, Kobie, Braden, Trent, Gracie, Kyra, Hanna, Jackson, True and Arielle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
