He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Lee and Naomi Bickham McCoy; his wife Laura Jones; and his siblings, Keith McCoy, Nolan, Carolynn Earls and Lavonne Bivens.

He is survived by: his son Ted McCoy; his sister Marlene Smith; and his grandchildren, Naomi M. McCoy and William A. McCoy.
