It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Prescott Gary of Woodville, Texas, who passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marlin Watson Derrick and Rhoda Nora Trapp; her husbands, Monroe Prescott and Oris Gary; and her siblings, Marlin Watson Derrick, Jr., Archie Thomas Derrick, Willie Kidd and Bertha Blackwell.
She is survived by: her children, David Prescott (Anna) of Tucson, AZ, Barbara Worsham (Pat) of Colmesneil and Teresa Childers (Randy) of Mansfield; her grandsons, Timothy Prescott (Cindy), Daniel Prescott (Stephanie), Alex Mutchler (Prescott), Paul Mutchler (Jenae), Daniel Worsham and Ben Childers (Brandi); and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Anabelle, Nolan, Nic, Zach, Devin, Mason and Tucker.
She was lovingly cared for by The Orchard staff, Olive Branch Hospice, and lastly by Dogwood Trails Manor when the COVID lockdown prevented any family visits.
