He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Floyd Jackson and Virginia Berry; and his siblings, Dennis, David and Barbara.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Mark Jackson (Carrie) of Woodville and Cathy Rice (Butch) of Nome, Texas; his siblings, Frank Dirr (Cissy) of Scotland, Charles Bush and Nancy Sherman of Austin; and his grandchildren, Callie Rice Landry of China, Lilla Faye Jackson of Lake Charles, Lucas Ross Jackson of Beaumont and Matt Hardy of Beaumont.
