Sylvia Ann Mitchell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2025, at the age of 89, Sylvia Ann Mitchell of Wolfforth, Texas, born in Lubbock, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sylvia Ann Mitchell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oldham Bufford Wright and Lois Katherine Wright (Akins); and her husband James P. Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Stephens (Steve) of Wolfforth and Kevin Mitchell (Tammy); her siblings, Mike Wright (Tina) of Wolfforth and Yvonne Heath of Lubbock; her brother-in-law Bill Mitchell of Lubbock; and her grandchildren, Chelsey Groves, Seth Stephens, Mikka James, Shea Askew, Morgan Saint, Hailey Hogg and Merritt Hammonds. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Combest Family Funeral Home (2202 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX 79401). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Home Baptist Church (128 N 4th St, New Home, TX 79383). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Park (5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407).
