He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Miguel Alonzo Sr. and Pioquinta Ramirez Alonzo; his parents, Benito Sr. Cortinas and Epifania Alonzo Cortinas; his sister Elida Gallegos; and his sons, Jerry Jr., George and James Alonzo.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Alonzo, Mary Jane Olmos (Blas Olmos, Jr.), Margie Alonzo of San Marcos and Javier Alonzo (Brandy) of Seattle, Washington; and his siblings, Rita Jackson of Austin, Felix and Benito Cortinas of Luling, Texas.. He is also survived by four stepdaughters and three stepsons, 12 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
