She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Nelson and Ora H. Nelson (Creel). She is survived by: her husband Bill Groover of Wichita Falls, TX; her children, Hoyt Groover (Jeanette) of Hartselle, AL and Betsy Hooks (David) of Henrietta, TX; and her sister Ethel Lemmond of Hartselle, AL.. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Henrietta First United Methodist Church Capitol Funds Campaign or to St. Jude's Hospital.
