He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Athey (Barham); his grandparents, Joe, Dorothy Kuyawa, Granville and Louise Barham; and his uncle Edward Athey (Sonny).
He is survived by: his father Gerald Athey; his caregiver Christy; and also Shirlyn Athey. He is also survived by nine first cousins.
