She was predeceased by: her parents, Rollie Elvington and Alice Elvington (Solomon); her former husband Jimmy Strickland; her daughters, Deborah Strickland and Duckworth; her granddaughter Robin Meyers; her husband Jerry Shaw; and her son-in-law Mark Dodd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Dodd, Linda Carter (Dennis), Michelle Strickland and Elizabeth Shaw Mayfield; and her brothers, Bobby Elvington (Deanna) and Billy Elvington (Karen). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
