He was predeceased by: his parents, W. L. Mason and Ruthie Mason. He is survived by: his friend Charlotte Cheek (Joe); his daughters, Jennifer Leggett (Bubba) and Donna Mason; his grandchildren, Tiffany Forester (Nathan), Jessa Mahaney (Hunter), Colton Leggett, Kate-Lynn Lindeman, Emma-Lee and Gracee Jo Meyers; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Magnolia, Flint, Wallace and Opal; his niece Renee Wohleb (Clement); and his great-niece Lexi (McKennon Wohleb).
As Charlie was affectionately known as "The Mayor of Homestead," donations can be made in his honor to the Activities Department of Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro, Texas, in lieu of flowers.
