He was predeceased by: his wife Dorrie Nelson; his parents, Victoria Nelson, and Cecil C. Nelson, Sr.; his sisters, Billie Smith (David) and Ann Mills (Jay); his brother-in-law Alvy Levick; and his niece Nancy White.
He is survived by: his sisters, Elsie Lucas and Linda Levick. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Town Hall Estates Nursing, in Whitney, TX where Buddy resided for several years, or any Church or Charity of your choice.
