It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Tyra Schroder of Whitney, Texas, born in Snyder, Texas, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Wilkinson and Caroline Wilkinson (Petri); her husband Tom Schroder; her siblings, Fred Jr., Harry, Buster, Billy, George Wilkinson, Dimple Gray, Lottie Scott, Callie Lewis and Corrine Armstrong; and her stepdaughter Jessica Fleischman.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Tyra (Kristy), Darlene Eastin (Kevin), Don Tyra (Lora), Derek Tyra (Barb), Jeff Schroder (Chrissy) and Jennifer Bird (Tim); the father of her children Gene Tyra (Brenda); her grandchildren, Drew Tyra (Amelia), Ian Tyra (Katy), Christopher Eastin (Ashton), Dylan Eastin, Kyndal Orr (J. T.), Madison Perry (Shane), Breanna Tyra (Harrison), Hailey Tyra, Rachel Wray, Derek Nelms, Devin Nelms (Leigha), Justin Richardson, Joshua Schroder, Matthew Bird, Jacob Bird, Sara Bird and Amanda Tedrow (Kyle); and her great grandchildren, Parker, Silas, Memphis Tyra, Leo Tyra, Kaylie Orr, Jeremiah Summers, Henslee Hendrix, Caden Frazier, Parkyr Nelms, Maverick Richardson, Phoenix, Solaris, Rowan and Kadence Tedrow. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Missions Fund.
