He was predeceased by: his parents, Esteban Mendez and Aurelia Mendez. He is survived by: his wife Enedelia G. Mendez of Weslaco, TX; and his children, Carlos Mendez (Cathy) of Weslaco, TX and Nelda Castillo (Mario) of Edcouch, TX.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
