He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel Maldonado and Elvia Maldonado (Jimenez); his wife Ernestina "Ernie" Maldonado; his daughters, Yvette Guzman (Rene), Yvonne Cáceres (Juan) and Daisy Maldonado; his grandchildren, Marcus Cáceres, Jiovana Cáceres, Jaisy Cáceres, Bryan Guzman (Erika), Brandon Guzman (Jordan), Brooks Guzman and Bryssa Guzman; his great grandchildren, Ella and Logan Guzman; his siblings, Gloria Robledo, Maria Teodoro Maldonado Villanueva, Guadalupe Maldonado (Maria), Nilda Nelly Maldanado Villanueva and Nicolas Flores Ruiz; and his brother-in-law Octavio Hernandez. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
