He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Shontz and Grace Shontz (Carl); and his sister Marbry Shontz. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Shontz; his children, Lori Shontz of Weslaco and Lawrence "Skip" Shontz (Cynthia) of Villa Rica, Georgia; his grandchildren, Kennedy Shontz (Betsy Jaurigui Rios) of Bolingbrook and Dana Shontz (Kris Bosi) of Belleville; and his great grandchildren, Arthur, Leon and Winifred Bosi.
