She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Medina and Dolores Medina; her siblings, Benjamin Carlos Medina, Raquel Medina, Rosali Medina, Elena Medina McClure, Carlos Medina and Esther Medina Sifuentes; and her nephews, Rudy Sifuentes and Daniel Medina.

She is survived by: her nephew Robert; her niece Mandy; her sister Espie; her sister-in-law Amparo; her nephew Charlie Jr. (Barbara); her great-niece Priscilla; her great-nephews, Ben and Robert (Miros); her siblings, Arturo Medina Sr. and Esperanza Medina (Isaias Deleón); and also, Monica, Marissa and Bobby.

Carmen's heart of service was evident in her dedication to helping her sisters, for over 30 years she cared for her sister Elena who suffered from Parkinson's, her sister Esther, and up to the very end of her life, her older sister Espie.
