He is survived by: his wife Shirley Eakin; his sons, Michael Eakin and Scott Eakin; his daughter-in-law Sara Eakin; his grandsons, Max Eakin and Jax Eakin; his siblings, James Lamar Eakin and Katharine Eakin McClanahan; and his niece Elizabeth Woods Blackledge. He is also survived by two great nieces; and one great nephew.
