He is survived by: his children, Homer Velasquez, Delia Leal, Ruben Velasquez Jr., Oscar Velasquez, Mary Elizabeth Salinas and Irene Lopez. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
