He was predeceased by: his child Intelligent Traffic Systems. He is survived by: his wife Patti (Patricia Hyde); and his daughters, Dr. Jennifer Kessmann MD, Dr. Sara Lewandowski PhD and Julie Curtis. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

Donations in his memory can be made to the American Lung Association or the American Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
