She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Watterson Gaston and Wanzie Ann Owens Gaston; her husband John Carter; her children, Karen Carter and Brian Carter; her grandchildren, Adrien (Michael), Neil (Lauren), Galen (Mary) and Joel (Robert); and her great grandchildren, Kendelle, Jacob, Karli, Jared, Evelyn and Ian.
