It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Manning Evans Sr. (Webster, Texas), born in Refugio, Texas, who passed away on February 24, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Evans of Virginia and Manning Erval Evans; and his sister Ruth Lunell Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Merilyn Evans; his children, Laurie Evans Spelts (Bob), Linda Evans Lira (Rey) and Lawrence Manning Evans, Jr. (Vickie); his grandchildren, Sarah Pearson (Alan), Kristi Boswell (Tim), Jacob Lira (Jessica), Jesse Lira, Josh Hughes and Charissa Hughes; his great grandchildren, Kyndal Gude (David), Jeremy Pearson (Brittany), Jordan Pearson (Lexi), Benjamin Boswell, Micah Boswell and Charlie Boswell; his sister Barbara Jean Janssen (Paul); and his brother-in-law Paul Bruce (Carmen). He is also survived by several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
