He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Swift and Loraine Swift; his former wife Tresa Darnell Garringer; and his brothers, Arthur and Wayne.
He is survived by: his sons, John II (Laurel) of San Antonio, TX and Christopher; his wife Aileen Rambin; his son Chris (Luisa) of Ackworth, GA; his siblings, David Swift, Jane Taylor and Ann Braden; and his grandchildren, Blake, Jordyn and Colton Swift. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
