She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie V. Bartee and Vernon E. Bartee; her husband Cecil F. Kirkland; her son Terry R. Kirkland; her sisters, Vena Bartee and Eleanor Vance; her brother-in-law John Vance; her sister Evelyn Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, John Johnson and Carolyn Bartee.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Kirkland; her brother Preston Bartee; her grandchildren, Misty, Troy Anderson, Tisha, Miro Holy, Mandy, Kevin Bowen, Kristin, Michael Foley, Kelly and Chris Scott; and her great grandchildren, Brendan Baker, Landon Baker, Hayden Baker, Alexandria Anderson, Annabelle Anderson, Dylan Holy, Katie Holy, Sasha Holy, Vena Bowen, Heidi Bowen and William Scott. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In remembrance of Dottie Kirkland's life, the family requests that any charitable donations be made to a local food bank, as she hated for anyone to experience hunger or to a favorite charity in her name.
