She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillie Pearl and Joe Hogan. She is survived by: her husband E. Y. King; her sister Pat Malone; her children, Bill King and Karen King Rivas; her grandchildren, Emily, Jonathan, Rebecca, Andrea, Theo and Faith; and her great grandchildren, Ben, Jack, Evie, Elle and Opal.

That same year, she married her soulmate, E.Y. King, with whom she spent the next 72 years, before succumbing to a decade long battle against Alzheimer's.
