He is survived by: his mother Rosa Leticia Canas (Rosa Elida Canas); his children, Vanessa Tatiana Garcia, Mayra P. Douglas, Maricela Canas, Jose Nelson Canas, Salvador Canas Jr. and Emely Canas; his granddaughters, Sarah Mackenzie Garcia and Audrey Nicole Garcia; and his siblings, Balmore Polio, Nelly, Carmen Polio and Cecilia Romero.
