With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gay Nell Rutherford of Waco, Texas, who passed away on May 23, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Homer Clay and Norma Lee Clay; her sisters, Alma "Fritz" Green and Norma Euvone Brewer; her sons, David C. Rutherford and Robert A. Rutherford; and her grandson Joseph Wayne Dowdy.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Dowdy (Don Jenkins); her granddaughter Halie Wells (Seth Wells); her great grandchildren, Julian Dowdy and Olive Adkins; her granddaughter Jennifer Rutherford (Jacob Basquez); and her friends, Mary Gilliam and Elizabeth Goins. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
