She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose I. Alaniz and Eudelia Alaniz (Guerra). She is survived by: her brother Joe Alaniz (Diana); her nephews, Marcos and Michael Alaniz; her niece Monica Varela (Rudy); and her aunts, Lucy Cervantes and Inez Guerra.
