She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gober Merritt and Judy Sophronia Drummond; her husband John Sanchez; her daughter Cherlyn Cruz; and her siblings, Lucille Merritt, Grady Merritt, Clarence Merritt, Bill Merritt, Harold Merritt and Frank Merritt.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Yarborough (Kellie) and Natalie Watkins (Henry); her sister Shirley Casteel; her grandsons, Randy Koehne, Nick Yarborough and Jason Yarborough; and her stepgrandchildren, Jason Carter, Jon Carter, Brittany Carter, Marshall Frazier and Kelsie Frazier.
