He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurby Johnston and Emma Thornhill Roberts (Johnston); and his son Randy J Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Hammack Johnston; and his daughters, Tiffina Jankowski, Jessica Brewer (Jason), Dian Gardner and Tracy Wallace (Bret). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
