He was predeceased by: his parents, Velton Dillard Tankersley (Tank) and LaVelle Tankersley; and his grandparents, Albert, Gladys Harris, Daniel and Mamie Fisher Tankersley.
He is survived by: his wife Victoria Duggan Tankersley; his children, Robin Kelly (Hal) and Velton Duggan Tankersley (Melissa); his grandchildren, Brandon Newman, Jamesson Tankersley, Finnegan Tankersley and Victoria Rose Adamo-Tankersley (Jacob); his close friends, Dian Fife and Richard Marshall; and his pet Jack.
