He was predeceased by: his parents, Bedford Butler and Elsie Whitfield Butler; and his brother Bedford Jay Butler. He is survived by: his wife Shannon Butler of Van; his children, Corey (Nakisha Butler), Rodrick (Lacretia Butler) and Randi Roseman of Dallas; his siblings, Sherry (James Woodard), Karen (Cecil Armstrong) and Lynn; his sister-in-law Becky Butler; his grandchildren, Courtney Butler, Keanu Butler, Cristian Butler, Kingston Thomas, Malia Butler, Jekye Roberson, Caprice Cannon and Langston Roseman; and his great grandchildren, Nyla Phillips, Khlai Johnson and Camari Fudge. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, uncle, aunts, and dear friends.
