She was predeceased by: her parents, James Spurgeon and Rosalie Spurgeon; her husband G. Howard Cook; her daughter Carolyn Jo Brandt; and her son-in-law Larry Brandt.
She is survived by: her daughter Gay Stone (Terry) of Concan, Texas; her grandchildren, Chris Brandt (Jenny) of White Oak, Adrienne Sweaney (Adam) of Midlothian and Travis Stone (Cho) of Dallas; and her siblings, Betty Porter of Nacogdoches and Darius Spurgeon of Fort Worth, Texas.. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
