With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Juan Riojas Garza of Uvalde, Texas, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Simona Garza (Riojas) and Heliodoro Garza; his wife Antonia Rodriguez; and his siblings, Alberto Garza, Alejandro Garza, Maria Martinez and Margarita Lopez.
He is survived by: his children, Maria Guadalupe Flores (Pedro Martin) of La Pryor, Juan Fidencio Garza (Edelmira) of Uvalde and Heliodoro Garza (Yamira Gabriella) of La Pryor; and his siblings, Teodora Rodriguez of Uvalde, Marta Ramirez of Uvalde, Simona Limones of Uvalde, Josefina Garza of Uvalde, Heliodoro Garza of Uvalde and Refugio Garza of Uvalde. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Josephs Catholic Church (618 San Jose St, La Pryor, TX 78872). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pryor Cemetery.
