He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Jones and Froggie Jones; his brother Herbert Jones; and his daughter Jeri Linn Jones. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Bess Jones; his children, Jae Thompson (Ross) of Uvalde, Jody Jones (Kimberley) of Doss and Jarret Jones of San Antonio; and his grandchildren, Madisyn Claire Jones, Kennedy Linn Thompson and Gavyn Clay Jones.
