He is survived by: his wife Olivia Gonzalez Viramontes; his children, Alejandro (Luz Elena Viramontes) of Tyler, Esteban Jr. (Wendy Viramontes) of Uvalde, Lionel (Amy Viramontes) of Uvalde, Ismael (Angela Viramontes) of Uvalde, Rosalva (Derick Kearney) of Selma, Maribel (Hector Viramontes) of San Antonio, Hermelinda (Juan G. Mendez) and Lilia (Oscar Mendez); and his siblings, Elias Viramontes of Zacatecas, Hermelinda of Uvalde and Gabriela (Juan Viramontes) of Zacatecas. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren.
